NASHVILLE (AP) -- Olympic board champ Mark Bright apologized Wednesday for "unwise choices," saying he got "carried away" after cops charged him of taking a resort flame security that forced visitors to leave.
White was charged with public inebriation and wanton damage and is due in court Oct. 10.
The 26-year-old board star said on his Facebook or myspace page he wants to say sorry for "any difficulty it caused my loved ones members, buddies, associates, the place and their visitors. He included that he was "celebrating a happy occasion with a ton of buddies and close relatives and got taken away. I'm truly sorry for my poor actions."
Police addressed the Loews Vanderbilt Hotel at 2 a.m. Weekend. A drunk man determined as Bright drawn the flame security, pushing an evacuation, cops included. An worker also revealed seeing Bright eliminate a resort phone.
White was given the opportunity to sign misdemeanor details and rejected, cops said. Baptist Medical center said Bright was treated there and launched Thursday before he was caught and reserved by cops. A mug shot launched by cops shows Bright with a black eye.
